I actually enjoyed this episode it was pretty good, I liked how they focused on Bobby & showing what he does when Sam & Dean aren't around ... plus it is obvious that Bobby helps so many people out by all the phones he has in his house .. poor guy everytime he tried to eat that cobbler something would happy ...then when Bobby got back at Crowley that was really good too Jensen did a great jopb at directing he should continue possibly more SN episodes in the future.

Thanks to Hobbliet for the Banner.

@ tracy I totall agree! I love all the things you pointed out. A fantastic episode. Bobby was awesome and I liked how Crowley cares about his bones *cool*

Kleiner Bericht in der signonsandiego Column

Also sending some welcome fireworks into the weekend schedule was another strong entry in the "Supernatural" Recovery Sweepstakes. Written by Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loflin ("Yellow Fever," "Afterschool Special"), "Weekend at Bobby's" was also Jensen Ackles' directorial debut, and the team effort was terrific all the way around.

Centered on Bobby's plan to get his soul back from Crowley, Friday's episode brought the fun (Wisecracking Crowley!), the gore (Monster in the woodchipper!) and just the right amount of emotion, as Dean tried to get Bobby to help him with Sam's post-pit issues and Bobby finally demanded a little credit and support for his years of invaluable back-up.

Did the boys really need to go to Scotland to return the love? Probably not. But let's not get sidetracked by quibbles when "Supernatural" delivered an episode that gave us that old-school Monster of the Week charge, a possible love interest for Bobby (Don't give up on him, Marcy!), some sparky interplay between Jim Beaver and Mark Sheppard and the return of Rufus. It was one of those episodes that just felt right. And we needed one of those like Marcy needed her woodchipper. (EPISODE GRADE: A-)
